Are You A Spiritual Scientist?

Are you a "Spiritual scientist?" The spiritual scientist is anyone:

  1.  Who is open to and or believes in the existence of higher realities, dimensions, parallel realities, basically all that which lives beyond our material existence.

  2. Understands laws/rules of the spiritual science by connecting and using intuitive faculties and other senses beyond the 5 commonly known (sight, smell, hearing, touching), through meditations or through following a proper spiritual Master and abides by those.

  3. Makes a sincere effort to explore, learn and grow on the path of spirituality with an attitude of a scientist.

  4. Is open to possibilities (of a higher-order of existence) that are in the realm of spirit and that are not apparent, perceivable or easily experienced in our material world.

  5. Is undertaking spiritual endeavours to realise the truth of higher realms of existence and remains open to the idea that the more you know, the more you don’t know.

What are the advantages of being a spiritual scientist and how do we become spiritual researchers? Some of the benefits of being as a spiritual scientist are to help others to prepare themselves for spiritual processes and establish a scientific mindset towards spirituality for both self-improvement and society as a whole. Also, so that we can lead a more meaningful, evolved and blissful life, by fulfilling the purpose for which we have taken birth on this planet. The research question is born out of how each one of us comes face to face with our environment, our destiny, our soul development and self-knowledge.

Some of you may already be spiritual scientists and researchers and some may just be getting started either way here is a shortlist of ways to get started or to deepen your spiritual research:

  1. Love and embrace your feelings. Even the ones that you want to resist or ignore: We tend to want to numb our emotions and feelings by over-eating, over-exercising, Netflix bing watching etc. Mainly because many are afraid to be with and allow the emotions arise and express themselves. Embrace and love your emotions by imagining each emotion as a small child that is lost inside of you. Feel it with love, hold it, be with it. Emotions are a lot like waves flowing through us when we can allow, love and embrace them they can flow in and out more smoothly.

  2. Take a minimum of 20mins out of your day to just BE in silence with yourself in nature: Turn off your phone, take a time out from your busy life. Sit on a park bench and watch the bee’s circling the flowers, lay on the grass and stare at the clouds. The more you spend time just BEING and allow there to be silence within you in the presence of nature. The deepest parts of your soul's longings emerge. Introspection unravels easily, here you can explore and refresh your mind and heart, release stress and find peace with yourself.

  3. Zero in on, explore what in your life causes you to experience moments of Self-Trancendant emotions for example Awe, Love, Gratitude, Appreciation and Compassion. In all ancient spiritual traditions, these emotions are explored, contemplated and meditated on. By investigating for yourself how and when you feel these emotions and then taking a deep dive into each one, expanding it within, you are well on the path to being or becoming a spiritual scientist.

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. "~ Albert Einstein
